CAMPUS RECOVERS FROM STORM

The Bluffton University campus is getting back to normal following the Friday evening storms which left much of Ohio with wind damage and no electricity.

As of Tuesday morning, power and phone service have been restored to the majority of campus. As downed trees, limbs and debris littered campus, President Jim Harder called for an all-campus work morning. Faculty, staff and students were invited to spend Tuesday morning piling downed branches and twigs in places where they can be picked up by trucks and taken to a rapidly growing mountain of tree debris in the parking lot beside the baseball field.

President Harder told the campus community, "We hope that by working together, we can return much of the campus to a more normal looking state, since we continue to receive prospective students, summer conference groups and visitors. Thank you for all you do for Bluffton in normal times and in times of unexpected circumstances!"
